If you are watching this website and haven’t received an evite, head on over and sign in. On a complete whim (or, time saving genius), I decided to use evite.com this year to handle the invites. I’ve always used huge excel spreadsheets with email lists, sending out each email one by one usng traditional email. I had a grandiose idea of using an email campaign manager this year. Track hits, customize the design, etc. etc. Evite was easier. Thought it was a tad on the cheesy side but, it was easier.

Now that I sent it, I feel like the guy in the commercial who shoots out his web store and gets a few hits. “Whoo Hooo”. Couple more and he starts thinking he better get busy. Then dozens start pouring in and he freaks out. Evite may be cheesy but, dang if it doesn’t work. As I write this we are up to 61 participants. If they all show up, it would have doubled last year’s event. The guy in the commercial and I have alot in common.

Before you get the wrong idea… yes, I’m freaking out about all the work that needs to be done with that many contestants but, I do have alot of great help each year. So, let’s say I’m freaking out in a good way.

Little behind but, the new site is well on it’s way. Check back over the next couple of days. I’ll be posting old content and designing the site for 2008. Apologies for any random wierdness that may happen.
